Despite the current crisis and government advice effectively banning meetings with clients – we are still working. We can still deal with a lot of legal work using telephone communication and “video” meetings where we can.
The courts will receive ongoing guardianship applications – where reports ordered prior to the crisis reach us. These applications will be date stamped and filed to be dealt with at a later date unless they are deemed urgent, though the urgency has to be compelling. There are lots of steps which can be taken on Guardianship files prior to reaching the point where they are ready to be sent to court. We can do this work now and it may cut down the time taken over the whole process later. We continue to take on and deal with new files as far as they can be progressed.
